IPL 2022: Games24x7’s My11Circle roped in as title sponsor for Lucknow franchise

Published on:

Fantasy sports platform My11Circle has inked a pact with the RP-Sanjiv Goenka group-owned Lucknow franchise as the official title sponsor of the team for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. The three-year deal will see the My11Circle logo featuring prominently on the jersey of the yet-to-be-named Lucknow franchise.

My11Circle will reportedly pay INR 23 crore per season which now stands as the second-highest offer among all franchises. The sponsorship amount is next to Chennai Super Kings but ahead of 5-time winner Mumbai Indians.

Commenting on the partnership, Raghu Iyer, CEO, RPSG Sports said, “We are delighted to have My11Circle as our Principal Team Sponsor. We thank them for the faith they have shown in our new franchise and are confident that this will be a winning partnership.”

Lucknow franchise is one of the new teams apart from Ahmedabad’s side in the upcoming edition of IPL. The franchise has appointed former Zimbabwean cricketer Andy Flower as the head coach ahead of the mega IPL 2022 auction and former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir as their mentor and Vijay Dahiya as an assistant coach.

Fantasy sports platforms have spent aggressively on promotions during the last few editions of IPL. Apart from unicorns Dream11 and Mobile Premier League (MPL), several emerging platforms have bought advertising space in prime slots during IPL 2020 and 2021. The real money gaming operators have made heavy marketing investments on IPL through TV and digital sponsorships. Deam11 acted as a title sponsor in the 2020 edition after Vivo pulled out for a year. Dream11 continues as one of the 5 official partners of IPL.

Games 24×7 Co-Founder & Co-CEO Bhavin Pandya said, “We are excited to announce our first IPL team sponsorship and the Lucknow team is a perfect fit as it represents the heartland of the country where cricket fans have ardently supported the sport and now get an opportunity to support their own team.”

We launched My11Circle in 2019 and within a short span, it has emerged as one of the most popular fantasy sports platforms in the country. We witnessed a 100 percent growth last year. One of the reasons for our popularity has been our ability to connect with the discerning Indian cricket fan, where our campaigns have celebrated and rewarded their fervour and skill. We believe that this partnership will further strengthen our engagement with millions of cricket fans across India,” Pandya was quoted in a press release.
