Adda52, has raised funds for Covid relief of Rs 50 lakhs from a tournament series Play for a cause  occurred between 17May to 23May 2021. Around 49,397 users participated and played 254 tournaments. 100per cent of tournament commissions along with the contribution by Gaussian Networks (Adda52) helped to raise an amount of Rs50 lakhs.

“We are in the midst of a pandemic, which is challenging the human race worldwide. The situation is grieved and heart-breaking for us in India. We deeply empathise with the losses, sufferings and pain of people. Every effort is counted to fight this menace. Therefore, we are donating this fund through Hemkunt Foundation and Act Grants to save as many lives as possible because we have to fight this situation collectively and collaboratively”, Adda52 chief executive officer (CEO) Shivanandan Pare said.

The funds will be equally distributed among two non profit organisations namely Hemkunt Foundation and ACT Grants. Hemkunt Foundation will utilise the funds to avail oxygen to the tier3-tier 4 cities and villages of India and ACT Grants will be utilise to support the deployment of oxygen solutions, especially PSA plants, concentrators  to hospitals across India. It will also aim to support medical manpower, homecare and in scalability of India’s vaccination drive.

“These funds will be used to help people in the rural/remote areas of Uttarakhand where we have already sent teams and other tier3 cities of the country. We need more concentrators, oxygen cylinders, medicines and so on as the situation is very bad,” said  Hemkunt Foundation community development director Harteerath Singh.
