Battlegrounds Mobile India: Early access now available for Indian gamers

Battlegrounds Mobile India, the remodeled version of PUBG Mobile, is finally available to play for the Indian gamers as the South Korean Video developer KRAFTON on Thursday announced its “Early Access” on Thursday.

As of now, the game can be downloaded from Google PlayStore and is available in open beta but only on a first-come-first-served basis. “More slots will be added over the course of the day”, the company shared in a press statement.

Announced in the first week of May, Battlegrounds Mobile India went up for pre-registrations on May 18. Since then, the anticipation and buzz amongst the gaming milieu had only been growing.




“Progress made while in ‘Early Access’ will carry over to the final version of the game including in-game purchases,” the company said in a statement.

Utilizing the full capabilities of the emerging Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4 to bring about realistic and marvelous worlds enhanced by 3D sound to build a truly immersive experience on mobile phone, the game will feature diverse maps with a variety of terrains in a virtual setting.

Battlegrounds Mobile India: Early observations

Recently, the company announced that pre-registration for its upcoming battle royale game overshot the 20 million mark within the space of just two weeks.

While users have shared their disappointment on Twitter about not being able to get the early access, there are some who got the early access and shared the screenshots on Twitter. One of the users revealed that the game will be 721 MB in size. 

Fans shared that the in-game blood is green instead of red, the game issues warnings about safe gaming, data can be carried over from PUBG Mobile, and most importantly OTP is not required to log in. On top of that, the map and settings options seem to be the same as PUBG Mobile.

Battlegrounds Mobile India: Requirements To Play

In order to play Battleground Mobile India seamlessly, your system will need Android 5.1.1 or above and at least 2GB RAM in the mobile device.

While there has been no confirmation from the developer, past leaks indicate that there is a high likelihood that Krafton will release the game to the public on 18 June. Stay Tuned!
