India-made mobile game launched based on Akshay Kumar’s movie Ram Setu

Vishal Gondal and Dayanidhi MG, co-founders of nCore games, have partnered with the makers of the upcoming movie Ram Setu starring Akshay Kumar to launch a mobile game called “Ram Setu: The Run”.

Ram Setu: The Run is an endless runner game on Google Playstore and Apple Appstore featuring playable characters from the movie like Dr. Aryan Kulshrestha (Akshay Kumar), Sandra (Jacqueline Fernandez), or AP (Satyadev Kancharana).

The company described the activities in-game as collecting gems and various power-ups while avoiding different obstacles like enemy attacks and wreckage that increase difficulty with time. Different game modes, such as local multiplayer and split screen-multiplayer, are also planned to be in the game, along with a leaderboard system.

The game is being developed by a company called Dot9 Games, the CEO and co-founder of Dot9 Games, Deepak Ali, said, “Ram Setu: The Run is our attempt at marrying our prowess in game development with a blockbuster IP to bring a polished, entertaining gaming experience that anyone can just pick up and play, Our team has worked hard to ensure it is optimized well enough to be playable even on low-end smartphones as well as tablets.”

nCore games started back in 2019 and have developed multiplayer games like FAU-G and ICC Cricket Mobile. It also raised around 10 million USD in series A funding in January 2022. One of the co-founders Vishal Gondal, said, “With Dot9 Games’ development expertise on our side, we’re confident in Ram Setu: The Run bringing gaming to everyone.”

Vikram Malhotra, founder and CEO of Abundantia Entertainment, shared his views on the game, saying, “Ram Setu has been conceived as an epic action-adventure spectacle for the entire family and the opportunity to reimagine the film’s extension as an engaging and thrilling game is a further step in the direction of bringing fans closer to the world of Ram Setu”.
