Raipur: BJP member asks for CBI investigation in alleged Mahadev Book murder case

Speaking on the most recent murder case in Chhattisgarh, BJP state office in-charge Naresh Gupta, in a video, claimed the case to be linked with the Mahadev Book betting app and criticised the current Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, asking why he is silent on this matter.

Gupta claimed that these murderers were working for Mahadev Book betting app and requested CM Bhupesh Baghel to start a CBI investigation on the matter. It seems that the claims by Gupta are based on previous news when the kidnappers claimed to be from Mahadev Book.

After tracking down the mobile number, the police nabbed Tiwari. Some time after, his partners Anuj Tiwari and Rajneesh Pandey were also arrested following a chase by the RPF outside Nagpur railway station as reported by The Times of India. The police initially believed that these people were hired by Mahadev Book operators to kill Om Prakash Sahu.

The police then conducted further interrogation of all the three arrested individuals regarding the motive behind the act and also followed their leads to possible connections with the Mahadev Book betting app.

After investigation, it was revealed that the culprits mentioned Mahadev Book app in order to steer the police away from their trail and the crime was just another case of ransom demand after Sahu was not able to pay back the money he owed.

After investigation, it was revealed that they took Mahadev Book app name in order to steer the police away from their trail, and the crime was just another case of ransom demand.

It should be noted that the victim, Om Prakash Sahu, has also worked for the Mahadev Book app previously, which initially caused suspicion among everyone regarding the kidnappers being related to the Mahadev Book.

Despite not being related to Mahadev Book, the illegal betting app is not to be taken lightly, as police have already uncovered a huge network containing thousands of crores of rupees in several bank accounts.

Several arrests have also been made in the same case across the country, with the biggest base of operations believed to be in the Durg district of Chhattisgarh. Recently, a police constable was also suspended for running a betting network using the betting app, which prompted a proper evaluation of others in the police.
