Sony India has revealed a limited-period “Summer Sale” offer on the recently launched PlayStation 5 Slim consoles. This promotional event is set to start from May 1st and will run until May 14th, 2024, offering customers a chance to grab the sleek PS5 Slim at a discounted price.
During this sale, customers can purchase the Standard Disc Edition of the PS5 Slim, which typically sells for Rs. 54,990, at the promotional price of Rs. 49,990. The offer also extends to various online and offline retailers, including Amazon, Croma, Flipkart, Reliance, Sony Center, Vijay Sales, and other participating stores.
For those opting for the Digital Edition of the PS5 Slim, which usually sells for Rs. 44,990, the price remains unchanged. However, both variants of the PS5 Slim promise a gaming experience, packed with powerful hardware as the standard PS5 but with a 30% reduction in overall volume and up to 24% less weight.
The new PS5 Slim models boast a substantial 1TB of internal storage, an important upgrade from the 825GB offered in the current models. The Slim variants feature a sleek design with four separate cover panels, a glossy top portion, and a matte bottom. They also come equipped with dual USB-C ports at the front, replacing the single USB-C and USB-A ports found on the current PS5.
One notable feature of the PS5 Slim Digital Edition is its flexibility, allowing users to convert to a disc-compatible version by adding an optional disc drive accessory. Additionally, users can expand the internal storage using external SSDs, providing a lot of space for their gaming libraries.
