Sportradar opens new office in Mumbai, appoints new General Manager

Sports technology company, Sportradar revealed in a recent announcement that it has opened a new office space in the financial capital Mumbai to further integrate into the Indian sports ecosystem. In the vein of the same announcement, the appointment of Prasun Bhadani as its new General Manager was also made.

Bhadani, according to Managing Director of APAC, Oscar Brodkin, will help in strengthening client relationships and work on new partnership along with executing regional level strategies in the country.

“India is a key market and will contribute significantly to our overall growth in the Asia Pacific region. Prasun has the experience and ability to help us achieve our business objectives in India and at the same time prioritize the delivery of quality service and value to our partners,” Brodkin said in an official release.

On being appointed as the general manager, Bhadani said that he is excited to work with Sportradar and help grow the company in its mission to have more advancing technology-based innovations. “It is an exciting time for a sports technology company like ours to be at the centre of the action,” he said.

Sportradar and its growing presence

Sportradar also reported a 30% increase in its year-on-year revenue for FY22, with over 78% contributed by the US. The company also partnered with notable groups including FanDuel, NASCAR, and Australian premier cricket competitions. It also acquired Vaix, an AI and iGaming solutions company.

Currently, the company holds a strong presence in India, wherein it has partnered with major football leagues in the country as well as with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to protect the integrity of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and Women’s Premier League (WPL).
