The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has legally prohibited Mike Bolsover, the officiating chief executive officer of the Casino Bolsover operated by SHL Management Pvt Ltd, from leaving the country. 

According to reports, Bolsover has not paid Rs 130 million in tax he owes to the government for running two casinos. The action was triggered on the instructions of Prem Bahadur Ale. Bolsover was identified and prevented from escaping at Tribhuvan International Airport at 10 pm on Saturday as he was about to board the flight.

Having not paid the revenue of the two casinos he has been operating, Bolsover has been operating casinos at Shangri-La Hotel at Lazimpat in Kathmandu and at Tiger Palace in Bhairahawa with an investment of OCP Asia. In order to avoid paying Rs 65 million that he owed to the government from each casino, he was planning to flee to another country.

The deadline to make the payment was January 14 which he had clearly overstepped.
