The Delta Corp-operated Casino Deltin Denzong in Gangtok, Sikkim is set to host its much-anticipated Cash Festival – Broadways Live from 16th to 20th September. Currently, Sikkim is the only state in India where the casino business has resumed operations.
Set at 6000 feet above sea level, Casino Deltin Denzong is known to offer a gaming experience against the backdrop of the frozen pinnacle of Mt. Kanchenjunga, the third-highest peak in the world.
Amid excitement and buzz, a vast majority of gaming enthusiasts are looking forward to the event. The organizers informed that they have received numerous inquires from various parts of the country and they are expecting around 120 odd players on the first day.
15th September is slated to host a players’ party, with the more serious business set to take place from the next day. The cash festival comprises No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha games at buy-ins of Rs 25K, Rs 50K, and Rs 100K+.
The event organizers have particularly ensured that the event will take place under all recommended Covid-19 protocols and guidelines prescribed by the government.
Apart from basic hand-sanitization and social distancing, those attending the cash festival will be required to be fully vaccinated in accordance with the government’s law to enter the state.
Deltin’s Sikkim casino resumed operations on 16th August, while its Goa subsidiaries are yet to reopen in line with the government rules.
Earlier in the year, Deltin had done a campaign “We are Ready” announcing 100% vaccination of all its staff across its properties in India and Nepal.
Deltin Casino resumes operations in Kathmandu
Gaming and entertainment major Delta Corp resumed casino operations at its subsidiary in Kathmandu, Nepal on Wednesday. The news comes on the back of the Nepal government’s nod to reopen the casino industry after an 18-month pandemic-induced break.
The Deltin Casino is located at Kathmandu’s Marriott hotel and is spread across 15,000 sq. ft. offering gaming and live entertainment with 220+ gaming positions, a dedicated VIP gaming room, a restaurant, and live stage acts.
