College Rivals, an eSports talent hunt made its mark in Indian eSports history with a grand finale that showcased exceptional gaming skill and camaraderie. This gaming show started with city qualifiers in August, drawing around 92,000 participants from across the nation, and setting the stage for an epic showdown. The grand finale of College Rivals was held on March 3 at Nesco, Mumbai. 28 finalists selected from colleges competed across six titles.
The city qualifiers took place earlier across five cities, including New Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune, and Mumbai, with the iconic College Rivals Truck touring 25 colleges, engaging gaming enthusiasts in an immersive experience.
The updates of the grand finale were reported on Technosports. The finale was a collaboration between Ampverse and DMI Finance, featured a prize pool of Rs.50 lakh and saw 28 finalists competing across six titles, including Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), FIFA 23, Road to Valor, Valorant, Tekken 7, and Counter-Strike 2.
In BGMI, Divyansh Vashisht of Delhi School of Professional Studies became the winner securing the top prize of Rs.4 lakh after a thrilling showdown. College Rivals also offered a unique opportunity for one finalist to secure a professional eSports contract with Rivals Pro Esports, marking a significant stride in Indian eSports.
