Commonwealth Games 2022, ESports: When and Where to Watch

One of the massively growing industries in the current world is the ESports industry and it has taken massive strides already. The ESports athletes haven’t yet had the popularity but the Commonwealth games 2022 in Birmingham will provide a different platform for them to showcase their gaming skills. 

Commonwealth games over the years have inducted various games into the tournament, however, E-Sports came as a big surprise this year. As many as 72 nations have already started competing in the twelve-day tournament and it will be interesting to see if the Indian contingent for the ESports Championship can bag a medal.

Coming to the CWG 2022 Commonwealth Esports Championship, the players will battle it out for three titles, DOTA 2, eFootball series, and Rocket League. The Commonwealth Games Federation and Global ESports Federation’s partnership has helped massively in producing the CWG 2022 Commonwealth Esports Championship.

When and Where to watch CWG 2022 E Sports live

The qualifying stages for the CWG 2022 Commonwealth Esports Championship starts from August 3. The Indian contingent is set to take part in two of the three title events, DOTA 2 and Rocket League. The finals of the events are set to take place on August 7 and India have had a bright start so far in the qualifiers.

Meanwhile, the live streaming of the CWG 2022 Commonwealth Esports Championship will be available in two respective channels of the Global Esports Federation. The links to the channels are 

The live coverage of the CWG 2022 Commonwealth Esports Championship starts from 2:30 PM IST and will go on until 11:00 PM IST. The finals of the event are set to be held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Birmingham. 

India is currently at the seventh position in the medals tally standings with five gold, six silver and eight bronze at the end of day six.
