Sports psychologist Dr. Michelle Pain joins Global Esports for the BGMI team

Global Esports, a professional esports organization has announced the onboarding of Dr. Michelle Pain as the official Sports Psychologist for their BGMI team (Battlegrounds Mobile India). Dr. Michelle’s role will involve in conducting mental training sessions for the players at Global Esports, for the upcoming BGMI season, the ‘BGIS 2024’. The BGMI lineup includes seasoned IGL – Harmandeep “Mavi”, alongside emerging talents such as Tanjot “Ninjaboi” Singh, Raghuraj “Slug” Singh, Harshit “Beast” Yadav, and Akshit “Arclyn” Kumar.

Her tenure as a tertiary lecturer at universities like Monash University, Victoria University, and Deakin University has enhanced her career. Dr. Pain is known for her innovative resources designed for athletes and coaches, like her Pocket Psychology series. She has also written the eBook ‘Sports Psychology Tools for Every Coach and Athlete’. She has worked in traditional sports as a private practitioner in sports psychology and brings a variety of experiences. At Global Esports she aims to foster a positive mindset and help the team navigate the challenges of competitive gaming by leveraging sports psychology principles.

With over three decades of experience, Dr. Michelle aims to assist players in managing stress, enhancing decision-making skills under pressure, improving communication, and regulating emotions to enhance overall performance on the international platform.
