PUBG Mobile is also considered the king of Battle Royales on mobile devices. Developed by LightSpeed & Quantum Studio, a division of Tencent Games and licensed by Krafton, PUBG mobile topped the charts within a year of release.

The immediate success of the game was thanks to its PC counterpart, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG). The game was initially released in China on February 9th, 2018, as PUBG: Exhilarating Battlefield and followed up with a soft launch in Canada before releasing worldwide on March 19th, 2018.

The game featured several game modes throughout the years of updates, but the game is most famous for its battle royale mode. The game has seen several big tournaments since its launch and hosts tournaments with some of the biggest prize pools worldwide.
