Casino organizer Chikoti Praveen absconding following filing of firearms case against him

Hyderabad’s Chatrinaka police have revealed that casino organizer Chikoti Praveen, who was recently booked for taking out a rally without permission, has a firearms case registered against him. The case was filed on Sunday, following which it has come to light that Praveen is absconding.

According to reports, Praveen is suspected to have fled to Goa. His three private security guards have been arrested for possessing illegal weapons.

“The three accused informed A1 (Chikoti Praveen) that they are not authorized to render service as armed personnel security guards to which A1 informed them that he will take care of everything in case of any untoward incident. The three accused agreed to the same and joined him,” the police said in their report as quoted by The Siasat Daily.

Praveen is infamous for organizing illegal casinos and has recently come to the limelight for taking out an illegal rally. He was also recently arrested by the Thailand police for being a part of an illegal underground casino with several other people from India. He was later granted bail and deported.

It is being alleged that he was the one who organized the illegal casino. However, he has constantly denied the allegations. Praveen said that he was just a visitor who went on an invitation.

Soon after arriving in India, Praveen was summoned by ED for possible FEMA violations. He was also questioned about his vehicle that is worth Rs 2.8 crore. He said that it belonged to his friend who was letting him use it.

Praveen has several allegations against him of organizing casino activities abroad and inviting individuals from India to play in them. He is still under ED’s radar.
