Lava Agni 2 overview; How well does it perform?

Published on:

Lava, known for producing Made in India smartphones, recently released its new budget gaming smartphone Lava Agni 2 5G.
Many people have had their opinions about the subpar quality phones from Indian brands a decade back. However, they have now come a long way to redeem themselves, and are arguably better than ever. In fact, with Agni 2, Lava is even providing free replacement within a year. So that brings a lot of confidence to the table for those who hesitate to pick a lowly popular brand smartphone.
With the replacement in mind, as of now not many who got the device has raised much issue. Instead of cost-cutting, it seems that the company now try to provide the best equipment for the price range.
This brings us to the Lava Agni 2, an all-rounder gaming smartphone released a few months back. Let’s get straight into this –

RAM and storage

Looking at the specs, Lava’s latest device features standard 8gb RAM paired with India’s first MediaTek Dimensity 7050. There’s option for internal storage up to 256gb storage. Not to forget, the feature to create virtual RAM for an additional 8gb of power.
The processor rocks an AnTuTu score of over 5.1 million. Thus, it can easily handle any modern game like BGMI, which requires specs to be on the higher side.

Design and Display

Design wise, Lava Agni 2 offers a curved AMOLED screen with HD display along with 10bit HDR 120 Hz screen. The flip side of the device is also made of 3D glass, which gives the device, overall, a decent look.

Camera Module

Agni 2 also features a 50 MP quad camera setup that can record 4k videos up to 30 fps. The front camera is capable of recording videos at 1080p, which is decent for the value it offers. Another great feature is the clean UI for the device that does not shove ads and bloatware.

Battery and Charging

Like many others, the device also supports fast charging and comes with a 66W fast charger in the box. Moreover, the brick supplies charge to power the 4,700 mAh battery and avoid running out of battery.
The device is currently available for Rs 18,999 here.
