Popular streaming platform Loco have announced that the company will be launching its in-house subnet in partnership with Avalanche. The company intends to take key steps in developing a line of Web3 products. These products are aimed to provide cutting-edge fan experiences through the subnet.

Loco, which originally started as a live quiz app, pivoted to become an online live-streaming platform. The company also raised USD 42 million in funding from a round of big investors. Makers Fund, Narayan Murthy-backed Catamaran Ventures, Krafton, Lumikai, and Activision among many were the list of investors who got onboard.

The introductory Loco products are intended to return control to the user and introduce collectibles to the world of fantasy games, according to Times of India.

The TOI also reported that Web3 projects associated with the company are planned to give fans a platform to express their fandom. The products will also allow the fans to be in the position of talent management and scouts. Thus, the platform will give overall a new viewing experience to the users.

The company claimed that viewers who watch the streamers will also be able to take part in fantasy games on these platforms. The fans will also be able to make their own fantasy teams across esports platforms to take part in the streaming event.

According to an official statement, co-founders of Loco, Anirudh Pandita and Ashwin Suresh said, “We are aligned with Avalanche in our vision of bringing fun games to millions of users. These skill-based games will allow fans to deepen their connection with their favourite creators and help amplify the enjoyment they derive from watching digital content.

Our endeavour is to provide users with reliable and secure platforms to store, buy, and sell digital assets while ensuring that the user experience is simple yet fun.”

President of Ava Labs, John Wu, said, “Web3 gaming is a fantastic use case for Avalanche Subnets as the only solution capable of consistently handling heavy traffic without causing user experience to suffer in the form of long wait times or high fees.”

“Pioneers like Loco are breaking new ground with ways to use digital collectibles for both fan engagement and applications layered on top that were previously not possible,” Wu added.
