Within four years of its launch, the online gaming platform Winzo announced that it had reached 100 million registered users. Winzo was launched back in 2018 and has evolved a lot adding around 100+ games with different varieties for every type of player out there.

CEO and Co-founder Pavan Nanda said, “We are aiming for Winzo to be one of the finest global consumer tech products that deliver a culturally relevant and safe interactive entertainment experience — putting Indian gaming on the world map.” Furthermore, he added that with the recent 5G rollout, the gaming sector in India will grow more rapidly and will allow Indian gaming to be a $10 billion industry over the next couple of years.

Winzo also has famous names as their brand ambassador, like former Indian cricket team captain M.S.Dhoni and more than 70,000 micro-influencers across different regions. Over the years, they have also improved the visuals and optimized their platform, making it easier to use.

The online platform is available in 12 languages and claims to have built a tech platform that helps students and language experts earn up to 20,000 INR monthly by providing localization services.

According to reports, with more than 100+ varieties of games on the platform, the average time spent by a user on the platform is around 55 minutes, with over 25% of users making their first-ever digital payment by playing and earning on the platform.

Earlier this year, Winzo announced that it had spent around 26 million USD on the Indian Game Developers Fund (GDF). The company is aiming to improve all aspects of online gaming, from game economy to live-ops, content creation and security of user data. Nanda said, “As one of the major players in the space, we take it as our responsibility to fuel the inception of this gaming ecosystem we dream of. GDF is another step towards achieving this.”
