Online gaming company Zupee has announced superstar Salman Khan as its brand ambassador, with hopes to increase its footprint in the rapidly expanding skill-based online gaming market. With this association, Zupee will look to compete with other platforms in the similar space.

The company has also launched a new campaign called ‘10 Minute Mein Game Ho Jayega’. The campaign shows Salman Khan playing different games available on the platform in order to make people aware and promote the platform. Interestingly, this is the first association of Salman Khan in the online gaming industry.

Dilsher Singh Malhi, Founder and CEO, Cashgrail Pvt. Ltd., said, “We are thrilled to have Salman Khan on board as our brand ambassador. We are certain that this association will help in deepening consumer connect. Salman’s charm and fun demeanour fit perfectly with the brand’s ethos as the campaign’s core proposition pivots towards enjoying shorter format games,” according to LiveMint.

In recent months, Zupee has established itself as a recognised name in the online gaming industry, and has developed a strong user base for itself with appreciable numbers in its daily and monthly active users. In fact, it is among the biggest names in the Indian casual gaming industry. Reports from October 2022 have suggested that Microsoft was in talks with the gaming platform with an investment proposition of approximately USD 100 Million.

On being appointed as the brand ambassador for the platform, Salman Khan said, “Classic casual and board games like Ludo and Snakes & Ladders certainly brings back the nostalgic feel and are a great way of entertainment on the go. The brand’s vision of bringing moments of joy to people’s lives through these casual & board games that can engage and entertain strongly resonated with me, and I am excited to partner with them to celebrate India’s growing love for gaming.”

The campaign was also planned as a way to attract more gamers towards the online gaming platform while promoting themselves too. Co-founder of Uniworld Being Talented LLP, Salman Khan’s talent management agency said, “his association will further help get more casual and board gamers on board and aid the growth of the online gaming industry even further.”
