India lost 38- year-old popular poker player Amber Nayyar due to Covid 19

India has crossed the average daily reported COVID-19 infections and recorded deaths and this time it took life of 38 years old popular Indian Poker player.

Earlier, a week before poker community received a shock with the demise of popular poker player Aman Kejriwal and this time it is Amber Nayyar.

Renowned 38 year old poker player from the Kolkata poker circuit was a familiar face in poker clubs in the City of Joy lived with his wife and seven-year-old daughter.

Although born and brought up in Kolkata but he shifted his base to Ludhiana around three years in time and supplied chemicals used in the leather industry. He started playing poker since 2007, and as per his  friends, he used to spend for hours playing the card game.

Pouring light on Nayyar’s routine his friend narrated to OPN that, “When we used to go casino, he used to come out of the casino after 3-4 days. He was a people person. He was regular at Aquarium Poker Room when he was in Kolkata. After shifting to Punjab, he used to make plans to visit Goa and play poker there.”

Nayyar tested positive for COVID-19 on 26 April. He was doing fine initially but passed away just four days after due to the healthcare system’s failure reportedly.
