Yuzvendra Chahal released a partnered Instagram campaign with India’s biggest poker platform ‘PokerBaazi.’ The campaign shows Chahal playing cricket with Dhanashree and promoting the online poker platform.

The new instagram campaign comes after the parent company for PokerBaazi, “Moonshine Technology Pvt. Ltd.” announced their plans to spend around $15 million on advertising and marketing.

Previously PokerBaazi released two new brand films to their campaign in September featuring Bollywood superstar and the company’s brand ambassador Shahid Kapoor.

The company also announced their Team Pro with Muskan Sethi, India’s first female poker player and recipient of The President’s “FIRST LADIES” award, and Abhishek Goindi, a renowned poker coach and player, as their Game Ambassadors.

Muskan Sethi said, “It is going to be exciting to leverage a leading platform like PokerBaazi and channel my experience and skill through it to create a difference in the poker ecosystem and encourage more women players to join the sport.”

While Goindi said, “I am excited to work with PokerBaazi to share my knowledge with the next-gen poker players. With more tournaments and content around the sport, I am sure that the ecosystem for poker will get a major boost.”

Advertising self-regulatory body ASCI also took down one of the campaigns from PokerBaazi youtube, claiming that the advertisement promotes unsafe/dangerous activities and encourages negligence.

The parent company of PokerBaazi approached the Delhi High Court seeking a permanent injunction. The counsel representing ASCI informed the court that the message in question is solely in the nature of a recommendation and is not legally binding on either PokerBaazi or any of the sponsors.

If organizations do not abide by their suggestions, ASCI sends the complaint to the Department of Consumer Affairs and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, and the complaint is then closed.
