India’s leading online poker platform PokerBaazi has teamed up with global risk intelligence company SHIELD in an attempt to safeguard the experience of users on India’s biggest online poker platform. PokerBaazi is the flagship gaming product of Delhi-based company Baazi Games. The company said it has partnered up with the intelligence company to ensure access to only genuine players on the platform.

PokerBaazi boasts over 2 million registered users on its platform and is going from strength to strength since its inception in 2014. The move of partnering with SHIELD further strengthens their vision of providing a safe and secure environment on their platform for poker enthusiasts. Earlier in June, unicorn gaming platform MPL partnered with SHIELD with a similar objective.

Avneet Rana, the co-founder of Baazi Games commented on their new partnership and stated that the company is committed to bringing a world-class poker experience to the players in the country and will ensure that the players continue their thrilling experience, in a fair environment with a zero-tolerance policy against wrongdoers.

“PokerBaazi has always been committed to bringing a world poker experience to our players across India, which is similar to the thrill of playing an offline game of poker. Ensuring fair play is the key component to the success of this mission. We have a zero-tolerance policy against anyone that tries to mess with our player experience. Our partnership with SHIELD has been instrumental in helping us ensure a trusted and fair gaming experience for all – a win-win outcome for us”, said Avneet Rana, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Baazi Games.

The world’s leading risk intelligence company SHIELD is renowned for providing online businesses with tools to stop fraud, build trust, and drive growth. The company’s founder and CEO, Justin Lie, expressed his thrill on partnering up with the pioneering online poker gaming platform and stated that the partnership will help the platform grow further as the players will have more confidence in the game’s capabilities to provide a stellar playing experience.

“Trust is the backbone of any real-money gaming site. In an up-and-coming online gaming market like India’s, security has become a quintessential element for any successful skill-gaming organization. We’re thrilled to be partnering with PokerBaazi to safeguard their tournaments – and users – from fraud and abuse. This collaboration will help fuel continued confidence in PokerBaazi’s stellar player experience as they continue to drive growth across India and beyond,” added Justin Lie, Founder, and CEO of SHIELD.

The mobile gaming market in India is projected to hit a $5 billion opportunity by 2025 from the current $1.5 billion, according to a recent Sequoia India and Boston Consulting Group report.  According to the Indian constitution, online gaming is a state subject.
