PokerStars India migrates to Junglee Poker platform

PokerStars India is set to transition to the newly developed Junglee Poker platform reported Poker News. This decision by Flutter Entertainment, the parent company of PokerStars, aims to provide players with enhanced software, increased liquidity, and access to a larger player base.

Junglee Games, the company behind Junglee Poker was acquired by Flutter in 2021.  The company has established itself in the Indian online gaming landscape. They offer games like Junglee Rummy and Howzat.

The transition from PokerStars to Junglee Poker promises to maintain the familiar PokerStars brand and feel while introducing new features designed to the preferences of Indian players. This migration aims to ensure an enhanced user experience and also grants access to Junglee’s extensive player base, the benefits for existing PokerStars India users.

In the coming months, PokerStars and Junglee Games plan to introduce new formats and game types, expanding the gaming options available to players on the combined Flutter India Poker platform. While a few formats like Spin and Go may not be available initially, they are slated to be introduced in subsequent months, promising a dynamic and diverse gaming experience for users.

PokerStars was launched in India as PokerStars.IN in 2018. Now its migration reflects the growing popularity and acceptance of poker in the country. Indian professional poker players have made progress in the global poker scene, with players like Santhosh Suvarna who was nominated for GPI Breakout Player of the Year. Junglee Poker’s wide player base, coupled with PokerStars’ legacy, positions the new platform as a website in the Indian online poker industry.
