7. Doyle Brunson

Renowned as the ‘Texas Dolly’, Doyle Brunson was a familiar face in the poker arena for over 50 years. He claimed 10 WSOP bracelets in total during his playing days and is one of only four players to have won the WSOP Main Event in consecutive years, 1976 and 1977. He authored the book ‘Super/System’, which is a must-read for every poker enthusiast in the world. Doyle’s son Todd Brunson also managed a bracelet of his own, making them the first father and son to have won the coveted prize.
