World Poker Tour Prime India Becomes India’s Biggest Tournament with 2700+ Entries and INR 11.8 Cr Prize Pool

The 4th edition of World Poker Tour India (WPT), hosted by Adda52.com, has come to a conclusion after seven days of gameplay at the Deltin Royale in Goa. This year, WPT India received 2700 entries, with a prize pool of INR 11.8 Crores.

The final table of the Main Event at the Deltin Royale was a showcase of poker skills and strategic thinking, with players battling it out for hours to secure a place in the winner’s circle. In the end, it was Prasit Chowdhury, who emerged victorious, taking home the title and a prize of Rs 86.60 lakh plus a $10,400 seat into WPT World Championship. The runner-up Amit Tejuram with a prize of INR 57.75 lacs put up a tough competition, making the final table full of excitement and anticipation. Additionally, Prasit Chowdhury was announced as The Player of the Festival (POF), with a trophy, cash prize of $5,000, and a chance to compete at WPT Main Event, which involves players across the globe.

The event witnessed poker tournaments under different categories such as WPT Superstack No Limit Holdem (NLH), WPT 50K Freezeout among others. Mithun Mahesh emerged as the winner under Superstack NLH, while Adithya NG claimed victory under the 50K Freezeout category. Interestingly, this year’s edition had participation from women players as well across all categories. In the WPT Ladies NLH tournament, Kanchan Sharma took the top spot followed by Radhika Shankar as the runner-up. The culmination of the poker tournament event at the Deltin Royale witnessed a total of 857 entries, competing to embark on their journey for the WPT Main Event. While the total entries in the high roller category were 227.

Winner of the High Rollers table, Gagandeep Malik said, “I am thrilled to have won the high rollers table at the World Poker Tour India.
