Skyesports, a global IP builder for gaming and esports, has announced that Revenant Esports’ newly signed European Counter-Strike 2 roster will compete in the Skyesports Championship 2024 in India. The tournament will take place from July 23 to 28.

The European team, headlined by two-time Major winner Nathan “NBK” Schmitt, includes Kamil “reiko” Cegielko, Nabil “Nivera” Benrlitom, Laurențiu “lauNX” Țârlea, and Adelin “adeX” Nica. Revenant Esports received a direct invite to the championship and will be one of eight teams participating. Other teams include Aurora Gaming, BetBoom Team, Eternal Fire, Furia, and The MongolZ.

Skyesports will also hold qualifiers in Europe and India to select the final two teams for the tournament.

The Skyesports Championship LAN event in India is expected to boost the local Counter-Strike 2 community. According to a Statista report, India’s gaming market reached USD 3.1 billion in FY 2023. India’s gaming industry is among the growing segments in India’s media and entertainment industry and will be worth over USD 7.5 billion by FY 2028.
