Team Rebel becomes champions of BGMI Rising Launch Party 2023

Female Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) roster of esports organization GodLike Esports, Team Rebel took the first position in Krafton’s launch party tournament called BGMI Rising, celebrating the unban of the game.

The tournament was four-day long with 64 teams facing each other from across the country. It featured a prize pool of Rs 10 lakh distributed among the top three teams and other categories of the tournament.

Team Rebel’s roster consisted of Rebel, Clutchy, Nikki, and Evil who scored a total of 110 points taking the first position along with the cash prize of Rs 2,50,000.

GodLike lauded the team’s hard work and said that despite facing doubts, criticism and discrimination the team triumphed over other 63 opponents, some of them including other top gamers of the esports world.

“We are so honored and grateful to have them as part of our organisation. We are so amazed by their talent, dedication and spirit. We are so excited for their future, and we can’t wait to see what they will do next,” GodLike Esports tweeted.

Apart from Team Rebel, two more teams took home the cash prizes in the second and third position. Team Jonathan won the second prize of Rs 1,50,000 and Team Owais the third, winning Rs 1,00,000.

The competition was fierce and only consisted of a five-point difference between the first (110 points) and second position (105 points) teams with Team Jonathan finishing second. The gap was even lesser between the second and third position with Team Owais scoring 103 points.
