Actor Sahil Khan summoned by Mumbai Police in Mahadev Betting App FIR

Bollywood actor Sahil Khan, known for his role in the movie “Style,” is involved in the ongoing investigation surrounding the Mahadev betting app case. Summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in December 2023 for questioning, Khan is presently under scrutiny in connection with this case.

The Print reported that Actor Sahil Khan is now set to provide his statement to the Mumbai Police on Saturday regarding his involvement in the Mahadev betting app case. In December 2023, the Mumbai cyber cell’s Special Investigating Team (SIT) issued summonses to Sahil Khan and three others. They were directed to appear before the SIT in December for questioning. However, Sahil Khan failed to appear at that time.

The alleged scam is reported to be approximately Rs 15,000 crore, as summarised in the first information report (FIR). Last year, a primary suspect in the case, was apprehended in Dubai by local authorities. Sources suggest that Dubai police made the arrest based on a red corner notice issued by Interpol at the request of the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

The Mahadev betting app case has garnered attention, with several actors, including Ranbir Kapoor, Huma Qureshi, Hina Khan, Bharti Singh, and Shraddha Kapoor, facing charges under various sections of the law. Specifically, they have been booked under section 12(a) of the Maharashtra Prevention of Gambling Act and sections 66(d) and 66(f) of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Sahil Khan is presently involved in the fitness industry as an expert. A few years ago, he established his own company named Divine Nutrition, which sells fitness supplements such as whey protein, creatine, and muscle gainers.
