ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) introduced three new devices on Wednesday. The highlight is the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16, which stands out as the first ROG laptop to feature an OLED panel with variable refresh rate (VRR) support.
Accompanying the Zephyrus G16 are the updated Strix SCAR 16 and SCAR 18 laptops, alongside the ROG G22 gaming desktop.
The Zephyrus G16, designed for gaming, is equipped with the latest AI-Ready Intel Core Ultra 9 processor and NVIDIA’s RTX 4000 Series. It features a 16-inch OLED panel with a 0.2ms response time and 2.5K resolution, aiming to deliver immersive visuals. Its lightweight and portable design, weighing 1.85kg, ensures gamers can enjoy high performance on the go. Additionally, the G16 promises fast charging with its 90Wh battery, reaching 50% charge in under 30 minutes. Aesthetically, the Zephyrus G16 introduces the Slash Lighting array, allowing users to customize the streak across the lid.
The updated Strix SCAR 16 and SCAR 18 feature the latest 14th-generation Intel Core i9 processor and NVIDIA RTX 4090 or RTX 4080 GPUs. With a 16-inch Nebula HDR Display, 240Hz refresh rate, and advanced cooling technology, the Scar series enhances the gaming experience.
