End date and time for Modern Warfare 2 open beta for all regions

Published on:

The beta testing for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 started on September 16 with Early Access for users of the PlayStation console. After that, on September 22, the cross-platform beta went live, enabling gamers to take part in the fun on PC, Xbox, and PS. A future first-person shooter game called Modern Warfare 2 was created by Infinity Ward.

Compared to MW 2019, it has significantly improved upon its predecessor and undergone a significant redesign in almost every area. The forthcoming game is poised to usher in a new chapter for the genre thanks to updated graphics, improved movement, and sophisticated AI. But when will the beta phase of it end?

There were two phases of the Modern Warfare 2 beta. The initial stage was restricted to PlayStation players only. The cross-play phase was the second one, on the other hand. Players who had pre-ordered the game for the PC and Xbox were included in this one. On September 24, the second phase’s open beta for these two platforms went live.

The beta will expire for each location on September 26 at the following timings, for those gamers who are curious about the exact date:

  • 10:00 am PDT
  • 1:00 pm EDT
  • 6:00 pm BST
  • 7:00 pm CEST
  • 10:30 pm IST

Currently, simply playing the game and levelling up is giving the players rewards with different in-game times. Having said that, it’s significant to remember that the level ceiling for the game’s beta edition is 30. The following is a list of every open beta award currently available in-game to players:

  • Emblem: Smashed It – Unlocks at Operator Level 2
  • Charm: Buckle Up – Unlocks at Operator Level 4
  • Player Cards: Passed the Test – Unlocks at Operator Level 6
  • Sticker: Operation First Blood – Unlocks at Operator Level 10
  • Weapon Blueprint: Side Impact – Unlocks at Operator Level 15
  • Operator Skin: Collision – Unlocks at Operator Level 18
  • Vinyl: No Competition – Unlocks at Operator Level 19
  • Sticker: Safety First – Unlocks at Operator Level 21
  • Vehicle Skin: Floor It – Unlocks at Operator Level 26
  • Weapon Blueprint: Frontal Impact – Unlocks at Operator Level 30

There are two versions of MW2 that can be pre-ordered: Standard Edition and Vault Edition. Players that pre-order the latter title will receive special bonuses for Vanguard, Warzone, and Modern Warfare (2019). Additionally, pre-ordering the game digitally grants players one week of early access to the campaign.

Fans’ reactions to the game have been inconsistent thus far. But as the beta stage goes on, the game’s creators at Infinity Ward have fixed a number of problems and keep updating the release. Despite the fact that cheaters are common at this time and there are a number of technical problems with PCs, the development appears to be going in the correct path. On October 28, MW2 will be available for PC, PS4/5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X.
