Former Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot alleges BJP on corruption from companies involved in betting & gambling

Former Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot has criticized the BJP, accusing them of corruption. Gehlot stated that the recent revelation of electoral bond data has raised concerns about the BJP’s funding, while also criticizing the Enforcement Directorate (ED) as being influenced by the ruling party.

According to Gehlot, the BJP has accepted donations from companies involved in betting and gambling, suggesting a questionable source of funding.

As reported by The Telegraph Online, Gehlot’s remarks come after the Election Commission’s disclosure of electoral bond statistics. Gehlot remarked in a statement, “In the wake of the public release of electoral bond data, the actions of the Bharatiya Janata Party have been revealed.”

Gehlot also suggested that the ED is being used as a tool under BJP’s rule. He noted that companies subjected to raids by central agencies had donated electoral bonds to the BJP, hinting at potential protection of these entities.

Gehlot reiterated the Congress party’s opposition to the electoral bond scheme, calling it a significant scandal. Furthermore, he accused the BJP of corruption within the political landscape.
