Web3 focused gaming venture, Kratos Studios, has now launched ‘Kratos Games Network’ program. With this undertaking, the studio aims at investing Rs 50 crore across 10-15 gaming studios by March 2024.
As of now, the company has already made monetization available to over 1.5 lakh gamers, aggregating to Rs 5 crore. Web2 game development studios will also get grants through the program in order to help them transition into blockchain gaming.
Speaking on the matter, Manish Agarwal, Founder of Kratos Studios, stated, “Kratos Studios stands for the gamer community. This initiative will bring high quality games and hence more gamers to blockchain gaming. We are on our way to becoming the largest network of gamers on the blockchain, globally.”
The program aims to create a strong game developer community globally with a pipeline of top games. These will suit gamers across different genres, languages, and culture while being available on the same platform.
Gaming studios that are shortlisted will also get access to the 10 lakh members across the globe. With the integration of blockchain technology, these studios will be able to generate revenue for both devs and players.
The selection procedure will however concentrate only on sustainable gaming studios. This means that studios having a minimum daily active user count of 500,000, as well as profitability over a period of 2–3 years will be considered. Furthermore, the company also plans to expand globally with focus on Latin America, East Asia, and South East Asia.
Another huge advantage studios will have in Kratos Games Network is the gaming communities. Having a diverse platform will help developers with consistent player retention and monetization.
