Liquidnitro Games raises $5.25 million in seed funding for studio expansion and technological advancement

Liquidnitro Games, a Hyderabad-based gaming company, announced on Wednesday that it has secured $5.25 million in seed funding led by Nexus Venture Partners, along with contributions from international angel investors. These funds are allocated for various purposes, including the establishment of a studio, investment in artificial intelligence (AI) and other cutting-edge technologies, and enhancement of production pipelines. Liquidnitro Games specializes in leveraging data, AI, and technology-driven insights to create experiences for players. The company collaborates with gaming studios and intellectual property (IP) owners to facilitate growth, profitability, and expansion into new markets.

Sandeep Kowdley, the CEO of Liquidnitro, commented on the changes that are underway in the global games industry, emphasizing the role of new technologies, AI, and emerging growth markets in shaping the future of live services and game production, reported Business Standard.

Liquidnitro Games was established in December 2023 by Sandeep Kowdley, Krishna Dhanekula, Arun Kunchala, and Suresh Manthena, all of whom previously worked at Electronic Arts. With experience in managing multi-year live services for renowned titles such as Bejeweled, Tetris, Plants vs Zombies, Need for Speed, Real Racing, and The Sims, the team is aiming to lead innovation in the gaming sector.

Sameer Brij Verma from Nexus Venture Partners highlighted India’s strategic advantage in talent pool diversity, enabling Liquidnitro to pioneer geo-adapted production and live services, and unlocking value for global publishers. Verma expressed confidence in Liquidnitro’s model, anticipating its potential to develop the global games industry and driving growth and innovation while tapping into diverse markets.

Liquidnitro also referred to the growth potential of the games industry, which is currently valued at over $200 billion and expected to expand further with the rise of new markets like India.

The seed funding round also attracted participation from international angel investors, and gaming industry veterans from the United States, Canada, the European Union, and India. With over 3 billion mobile players worldwide and a growing user base, Liquidnitro Games aims to leverage data-driven insights and creative evolution to achieve success in live services and game development.
