As per ABP, The ED recently raised the premises of Verma for alleged involvement in heinous online betting ring. Verma, however, claimed that he has no connection with Mahadev Book. He even challenged ED to find proof against him.

Earlier I used to drop my sons to school, now I came to drop them to ED premises, says Vinod Verma

While other culprits booked in the Mahadev Book case have been arrested, Verma and his family are currently under interrogation. CM’s political advisor addressed the media after dropping his family members to ED’s premises.

“First I used to drop my children to school, then to college, today ED has called me, so I have come here to drop them too,” he said.

He further claimed that he is cooperating with ED during the investigation. Additionally, he encouraged that if ED feel they can find information about his involvement, they can investigate anyone. He added that he has no objections for being questioned.

Meanwhile, ED has claimed Vinod has connections to ASI Chandrabhushan Verma, who took bribes to hinder Mahadev Book’s investigation. Vinod clarified that he only met Chandrabhushan once on his request.

Verma said that during the raid, ED entered his house and seized Rs 2.5 lakh cash along with the money received during his son’s wedding. He further said that he also provided all the proof and paperwork of the money found. Vinod remarked the ED’s actions as an act of robbery.

Further investigation on the matter is currently under progress. The four individuals ED recently arrested also revealed new information which might give new leads to ED.
