Delhi police arrested 41 suspects for operating an illegal casino at Harman Palace in the Jyoti Nagar police station area. The police also seized Rs 4.98 lakh in cash, mobile phones and casino coins from the site.

The police devised a strategy to capture the offenders in the act after receiving information that casino-style gambling was taking place under the guise of a birthday party in the Jyoti Nagar area.

The raid was conducted jointly by Anti-Auto Theft Squad (AATS) Northeast and Jyoti Nagar police station on Monday morning, as reported by ANI. The target was the fifth floor of Harman Palace in Jyoti Nagar, where the illegal casino was being operated.

When the police questioned the security personnel, they claimed that there was a birthday celebration being held. However, it was discovered during the search that a casino and gambling were actually taking place under the guise of a party.

The police immediately sprang into action, taking necessary legal steps. The accused have been handed over to the local police for further legal action.

Meanwhile, recently, Delhi Cyber Police arrested three people for allegedly defrauding online gamers across the country. According to the police, the culprits used to call the victims posing as customer service representatives. The victims were then asked to create accounts on gaming websites and make deposits to buy virtual coins for the games.

Investigations revealed that the culprits used to operate gaming websites wherein they provided games like Teen Patti, snooker, casino, cricket, and poker. At first, the payouts given to victims were decent but later when people started depositing more money the fraudsters stole it and deleted the user accounts and data.
