One Impression raises $10 million in Krafton-led funding round

Influencer marketing platform, One Impression, has secured US $10 mn in a fundraising round that was headed by Krafton. Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), one of the most popular esports title in India was developed by Krafton.

One Impression plans to create a platform where brands can easily find relevant influencers to promote their campaigns. The company claims to have associated with more than 7 million content creators, which includes creators from tier-2 and tier-3 areas, as well as celebrity influencers.

In one of the previous articles, it was revealed that Olympic Gold Medallist Neeraj Chopra, Comedian Zakir Khan, and Entrepreneur Peyush Bansal from Lenskart are among many other influencers and celebrities associated with One Impression.

The Krafton-led funding round also saw the participation of PeerCapital. In a series of events, the valuation for the round was set at $70 mn post-money. Talking to TechCrunch, Gupta said that Krafton is onboarding only as a financial investor.

The foundation of One Impression was laid way back in 2018 by brother-duo of Apaksh and Jivesh Gupta. Ever since then, the company has been engaged in associating influencers with brands. Influencers get to collaborate with other influencers and monetize their content.

“We’re bridging the gap between brands and creators. We’re trying to make the partnerships between brands and creators the most seamless, fastest, repeatable and scalable,” Apaksh Gupta said in a statement.

One Impression has currently made Instagram and YouTube available on its platform and over time, it also intends to unlock itself for LinkedIn, Moj in India, and TikTok for all regions as the company operates in global market including Indonesia, Dubai, Europe and the U.S.

Speaking on the partnership, CEO of Krafton India, Sean Hyunil Sohn said, “The creator ecosystem is at the cusp of a revolution. It holds massive untapped potential, and we believe that One Impression is rightly positioned to be a global leader of the influencer industry. One Impression has an ambitious vision for the space, and we are delighted to support them in their journey.”

The BGMI-developer has invested around $100 million in India startups since 2021. Since BGMI was banned by the Indian government in 2022, the company has been maintaining its relevance in Indian market with active investments in Indian gaming and esports industry.

“At Krafton, we are committed to the Indian market and see tremendous potential here. We have invested around $100 million in various Indian startups since 2021. And our investment in One Impression is a step towards augmenting this ecosystem and creating opportunities of growth,” Sohn further added.
