Mahadev App scam widens: ED presents supplementary charge sheet, names additional accused in 6000 crore fraud

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) presented a supplementary charge sheet in a special court in Raipur Chhattisgarh, on Monday regarding the Mahadev App online betting case. The charge sheet, spanning 1,800 pages, includes the names of five new accused. The ED officials claim a scam of 6000 crores in this charge sheet. The arguments between the representatives of both sides are scheduled for January 10, as per Judge Ajay Singh Rajput, who presided over the special court on Monday.

The charge sheet incriminates several individuals, including detained constable Bhim Singh Yadav, car driver Aseem Das, Shubham Soni, who claimed to be the operator of the Mahadev App, and others like Anil Agrawal and Rohit Gulati. Judge Ajay Singh Rajput has set the date for arguments on January 10, reported Jagran News. 

The upcoming discussion will reveal the roles of the accused in the Mahadev App betting case. The initial charge sheet in this case was filed on October 21, 2023, in the special court, listing 14 accused. The ED informed the court that a preliminary attachment of assets worth 41 crores has been made. The charge sheet, consisting of 9,084 pages, had 197 pages of criminal charge details, while the related records comprised 8,887 pages.

These accused were also part of the first criminal charge sheet filed by the ED in connection with the Mahadev App case. The individuals named in the initial charge sheet included Mahadev App promoter Saurabh Chandrakar, associate Ravi Uppal, suspended ASI Chandra Bhushan Verma, Satish Chandrakar, Anil Dhamani, Sunil Dhamani, Vishal Ahuja, Dheeraj Ahuja, Poonaram Verma, Shiv Kumar Verma, Yashoda Verma, and Pavan Natthani.

Among these, Chandra Bhushan Verma, Satish Chandrakar, Anil Dhamani, Sunil Dhamani, constable Bhim Singh Yadav, and Aseem Das are currently in judicial custody.
