Born in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, Naman ‘Mortal’ Mathur is one of the most influential streamers and mobile esports athletes in India. Currently focusing on streaming, Mortal was one of the biggest names in the PUBG Mobile esports scene.

Mortal started playing video games way back when esports was not mainstream in India. He started his career as a small-time YouTuber/streamer playing Mini Militia while also creating friendships with other esports players along the way. Later in February 2018, with the release of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile, his fan following skyrocketed due to his gameplay.

During his time playing PUBG Mobile, Mathur met 8Bit Thug and formed Soul clan with Soul Viper, Soul Owais, and Soul Ronak. The team went to win PMCO India Regionals in 2019. Mathur also won the E-Sports Award for the best streamer of the year in 2021.
