BGMI developers Krafton launches all-new Indian faction in ‘Road To Valor: Empires’

An upcoming update for Krafton’s real-time player-versus-player (PvP) mobile strategy game Road to Valor: Empires will be featuring an Indian faction in the game that have taken inspiration from the rich culture and history of the country.

According to the developer, the new faction is added to provide an immersive experience to the players in India and better connect with the audience.

The update will feature two new Guardians named Amaira and Ageera. Amaira is a type of defence guardian who heals allies, while Ageera is an offensive character during the gameplay.

Along with the guardian, there are also 14 new army units featuring great elephant Zorawar, units with mastery in swordsmanship skills and others inspired by the Indian culture.

Speaking about the new update, Krafton India CEO Sean Hyunil Sohn said, “Today marks an incredible celebration as we proudly reveal the Indian Faction to our gaming community in the country. Our passionate teams in India and South Korea have poured their hearts into crafting characters and elements that authentically capture the beauty of India’s rich culture.”

“The launch is a testament to the strength of collaboration, celebrating India’s diverse heritage while presenting it to a global audience. This is a milestone in our continuous efforts and commitment to bring customized experiences to our Indian players, and we look forward to bringing more captivating updates on the battlefield for our users,” he added.

Right after the new update, Krafton have also planned an event featuring the new Indian faction, where they will provide new players with cards and gold to get them started in the game. Furthermore, there will be no level requirement for using new cards for the event duration.

The company have also previously announced its plan to integrate with the Indian gaming market and have also announced an investment plan of $150 million in gaming startups.
