Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh recently joined Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) as brand ambassador. The popular actor now has a playable character inside the game with BGMI’s latest v2.9 update.
The update includes an RS discovery event, a crate and ‘Play and Win’ event featuring Singh. The actor-inspired character has two playable avatars named RS Dark Stealth and RS Swaggy Baba, respectively.
Furthermore, emotes with his dance moves and voice packs are also available. These are similar to the ones of Mortal and Scout that got previously released on BGMI. Players can draw these in-game items via UC – BGMI’s currency.

BGMI wins the Best Ongoing Game Award in India
This collaboration also shows an increased involvement of gaming firms in the Indian market. Big developers like Krafton have been the frontrunners in making collaborations with people having wider reach and following. After BGMI’s unban, KRAFTON India has put in a lot of efforts to stay on top. This led to the game being selected as the best ongoing game in India for 2023.
The previous update v2.8 featured a Halloween-based theme in the game. BGMI added several games modes and dynamic map changes to the game with the update. This made the BGMI arena a PvPvE (Player vs Player vs Environment), featuring zombies with high-risk, high-reward zones.
Krafton India CEO Sean Hyunil Sohn also came forward to share details of BGMI v2.9 update.
