Published on:

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is set to do a full release on October 28, around 9:30am but those who have pre-purchased the game will receive an early-access to the game’s campaign mode.

The preload and early access dates and timings are the same for Steam, Battle.net, Xbox and PlayStation users. Players who have pre-purchased the game can preload the campaign starting 10:30pm on October 20 and can play the early access campaign starting 10:30pm on October 21.

The multiplayer modes will still be locked and will only be available after the full release of the game, meaning players who purchased the vault edition of the game will have to wait to use their Red Team 141 Operator pack and FJX Cinder weapon. The 55 battle pass tier skips will be available with season 1 release on November 16.

The developers have been updating fans regularly and listening to the community so far. The fans are excited for the release even more after receiving information about the many leaks and teasers for the game including the return of iconic characters with their weapons and various fan favorite maps like Grand Prix and Al Mazhra.

Activision has said that the XP gain during the early access will count towards weapon rank progression which will unlock different weapon attachments. The Warzone 2.0 development is still undergoing and the company has said that there will be many different battle royale modes but till now there is no news regarding it.

With a name this big in the industry and the most successful beta testing ever it looks like COD MW 2 is going to be the biggest game release of this year. The developers have promised even more in-game content in a few months after the game releases this month on October 28.
