The popular sports game FIFA 23, released on September 29, is now one of the most hated games by the FIFA community at the moment. Players have complained that they can’t even launch and play the game properly.

The main reason for the backlash is EA’s own anti-cheat system that is malfunctioning and won’t even let players get to the game’s main menu most of the time. The problem arises from anti-cheat conflicts with other anti-cheats, as different games use different software.

FIFA 23 is the last fifa game by the developers of EA as the contract for the game is going to end at the end of this summer. Fans were expecting the last fifa game by EA to be something memorable, but as of the current situation, it’s been made fun of in several ways by users saying, “guess the anti-cheat is working because if you can’t play the game, you can’t cheat.”

FIFA 23 is now the 30th installment by EA, and after the end of this year, all other football games from EA will be rebranded as “EA Sports FC,” an official FIFA will release other FIFA games. It’s not much known about which studio FIFA will hire for their original FIFA title, but FIFA president Gianni Infantino did say, “I can assure you that the only authentic, real game that has the FIFA name will be the best one available for gamers and football fans”.

Fans are hopeful that if two companies are going against each other by making the same type of game, maybe someone will make a game that will be enjoyable and not full of game-breaking bugs that will not even let people launch the game. As of now, FIFA 23 sits with mostly negative reviews, and only time will tell when it will be fixed as EA hasn’t given an ETA on fixing the game.
