The India Gaming Show 2024, organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry and the Indian Digital Gaming Society (IDGS), with support from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Invest India, and Media Entertainment Skill Council, has commenced. The event is taking place from March 14 to March 16, 2024, at the Messe Global Laxmi Lawns in Pune, Maharashtra, with participants from 10 countries, including India.

Pune, known for its innovation and entrepreneurial spirit, serves as the host city for the IDGS to showcase the growing gaming industry, with around 50 gaming companies based here. The show aims to present the latest advancements, innovations, and trends in the gaming world.

As reported by India Technology News, Rajan Navani, President of the Indian Digital Gaming Society, expresses his anticipation for the event, referencing the growth of the global gaming market, which was valued at USD 249.55 billion in 2022 and is projected to reach USD 665.77 billion by 2030. Navani emphasizes India’s role in this market surge, calling the show a celebration of the gaming community within the nation.

Enthusiasts and industry leaders are gathering at this gaming event for workshops, panel discussions, and insights from experts, focusing on the future trajectory, challenges, and opportunities within the gaming industry.

Discussions will cover various topics, including the influence of gaming in India, the economics of esports, and government initiatives aimed at fostering the gaming landscape. Participating countries include Australia, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Philippines, South Korea, Spain, United Arab Emirates, and Russia, showcasing a diverse presence at the event.

The agenda kicks off with a thought-provoking panel discussion titled ‘What’s New in Skilling, and the Impact of Gamification on the Education System and its Future,’ addressing the transformative role of gamification in education. Other sessions will uncover the complexities of the gaming influencer industry in India and explore the economics of esports, among other topics.
