SuperGaming, a game developer in India, has concluded its nationwide grassroots esports tournament, Indus Inferno. The tournament finale, which attracted aspiring esports athletes from across the country, saw scouts from over ten esports organizations in attendance. This resulted in two roster signings and ongoing discussions with several other teams.

Team MOGGERS emerged victorious, taking home the prize of Rs. 2,50,000 and the trophy. DGE (Destruction of Game) secured the runner-up position and won Rs. 1,00,000. Insane Esports and Marcos Gaming finished in third and fourth places, earning Rs. 75,000 and Rs. 50,000 respectively. Igor from Team MOGGERS was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the finale, receiving Rs. 25,000 for his performance.

“The kind of participation and enthusiasm we witnessed during the Indus Inferno Finale was truly rewarding,” said Roby John, CEO and Co-Founder of SuperGaming. John highlighted the strong desire for an Indian-made battle royale and reiterated SuperGaming’s efforts to provide a platform for aspiring esports athletes. He noted that this tournament is an early step in their efforts to build an esports ecosystem in India.

The finale featured 15 teams, with four receiving invitations, ten earning their spots through open qualifiers, and one team advancing via the Android qualifiers. A majority of participants (70%) used Android devices, while 30% competed on iOS. The tournament drew players from across India, with the highest representation from Maharashtra (21%), followed by Telangana (12%) and West Bengal (10%).

Indus Inferno also allowed esports enthusiasts to showcase their skills to top Indian esports organizations, including Godlike Esports, Revenant Esports, Orangutan, Entity Gaming, and Reckoning Esports. Notably, Marcos Gaming and TWOB finalized their rosters for Indus during the event. The tournament encouraged active community engagement, allowing players to share real-time feedback with developers, which aligns with SuperGaming’s player-first approach.

With close to 11 million pre-registrations, anticipation for the official launch of Indus Battle Royale is building. Players can pre-register for the game on the Google Play Store for Android.
