With increasing news on people getting scammed, Youth Congress members in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh have started protest against Mahadev Book illegal betting app. The Youth Congress demanded a complete halt to the activities of the illegal betting application.

Durg Police have already started an extensive operation against the betting platform and have made several arrests. Despite that, the operations still continue, which shows how severe the case currently is.

Congress members have written to the Durg Collector and SP that the illegal operations of the app should be stopped immediately as it is heavily affecting the society with people losing money on a daily basis and going into heavy debt.

As per ETV Bharat, Councillor Aditya Singh said, “For a long time, all of us have been demanding the closure of online betting by submitting a memorandum. Strict action should be taken against all the accused who have been arrested under the Mahadev Satta app.”

“All the accused who have been arrested are released after a few days. Due to which, the morale of the accused have also increased. The government should take concrete initiative on this and strict action should be taken against all the accused who are caught,” he added.

The Youth Congress even called out BJP members linked to the Mahadev Book betting app and have called for action. SP Shalabh Sinha has reassured that the police have taken necessary steps to curb the betting app and is always on the lookout on the matter.

Most recently, the police booked four individuals for kidnapping a youth in order to recover money for Mahadev Book betting app. All the arrested individuals are currently under arrest and being investigated for further information.
