Rockstar Games has released the trailer for Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6, giving us a glimpse of what is to come with the latest instalment in the franchise. The initial release was planned for December 5, 9am E.T (7.30pm IST). However, due to leaks, Rockstar Games decided to release the trailer early.
The trailer revealed the open world of Vice City, which is expected to add even more to the original GTA Vice City map. Rockstar Games is already known for their open-world games and storytelling and is expected to ace that in GTA 6, too.
The game also seems to be sticking to its roots with modern twists of social media posts format of storytelling, featuring gang members, illegal car races, clubs and other popular trends going on TikTok or Instagram.
Speculations regarding the couple duo Lucia and Jason (rumoured) also seem to be true as the game introduces the characters briefly despite being heavily focused on showcasing what is to come with the actual game.
No PC release announcement
Speaking about sticking to their roots, similar to other games by Rockstar Games, GTA 6 is also expected to make its PC debut a year being a console exclusive despite people hoping that the modern Rockstar Games may change its ways.
While the trailer does not show the platforms the game will be available on, an official press release says, “Grand Theft Auto VI is coming to PlayStation® 5 computer entertainment systems and Xbox Series X|S games and entertainment systems in 2025″.
There is still time for the official release and more trailers are to come, however, it is true that if there is any company that can get away by pulling off this type of stunt, it is Rockstar Games.
