UP woman who lost herself in game of Ludo claims her husband is the addict, not her

The woman Renu, whose husband alleged that she was addicted to gambling and lost herself in a bet on a game of Ludo against her landlord, is now claiming that it is her husband who is actually addicted to gambling and not her.

After losing a game of Ludo, the woman, who was allegedly addicted to the game, moved in with her landlord in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh.

Umesh, the woman’s husband, reported the event to the police. Umesh, who moved to Jaipur for work six months prior to the incident, alleged that his wife, a Ludo addict, gambled away every penny he earned at home.

Renu, however, has now asserted that she is not a gambler and that her husband is actually the one addicted to gambling. As a result, the police have begun a search for the complainant.

Renu said, “My husband is addicted to gambling. I don’t have any such habits. I am a domestic help by profession and work hard to make ends meet.”

According to Umesh, he also once resided in a rented home in Devkali but relocated to Jaipur six months ago for business and continued to give his wife money, which she spent on gambling. She gambled on herself after running out of money and lost, and has now started to live with the landlord.

The husband had said earlier, “I tried to make her leave him, but she is not ready to do it.” The police are now on the lookout for him to resolve the case.

As of now, there is no clarity on who the culprit is as both Renu and Umesh are accusing each other. It appears the case will resolve after both of them are interrogated.
