WinZO, a prominent interactive entertainment platform in India, has announced the 10 winners chosen from a competitive pool of over 150 tech and gaming contenders for its ‘Bharat Tech Triumph‘ program. These selected companies will showcase their products at the inaugural India Pavilion during the Game Developer Conference (GDC) in San Francisco next month.

The ‘Bharat Tech Triumph’ program, initiated by WinZO, aims to provide a platform for industry leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, and visionaries to promote innovation and export technology from India. Aligned with initiatives such as Digital India, Startup India, and Make in India, this effort underscores WinZO’s commitment to fostering technological advancement in India and globally, with the goal of driving the digital economy towards a $1 trillion mark by 2030.

The winners represent a variety of gaming experiences, ranging from adaptations of Indian epics like Ramayana and Mahabharata to simulations of temple construction and virtual reality cricket. Chosen through a thorough evaluation process led by industry experts, these companies symbolize the growth of India’s gaming landscape.

Paavan Nanda, Co-Founder of WinZO, emphasized the significance of showcasing Indian entrepreneurship on a global stage. He stated, “WinZO aims to ignite the spirit of technological innovation and export culturally relevant content that can deepen the understanding of India’s culture and society. Content and gaming have the power to bridge cultures, foster understanding, and facilitate cultural exchanges.”

Acknowledging the initiative’s impact, Rajesh Raju, Managing Director of Kalaari Capital, commended WinZO for empowering the startup community and facilitating global exposure. “WinZO’s initiative celebrates the ingenuity and innovation of India’s startup ecosystem,” Raju remarked.

Nikhil Malankar, founder of “Mumbai Gullies,” expressed gratitude for the opportunity to showcase Indian gaming talent at GDC, emphasizing the potential of such initiatives to elevate the Indian gaming industry internationally.

The winning titles include “Kurukshetra,” “Mumbai Gullies,” “Shri Ram Mandir,” “ScarFall,” “Invrse Cricket,” “Bloom,” “Mayanagari,” “Unsung Empire: The Cholas,” and “Spook A Boo,” offering a blend of cultural heritage, innovation, and immersive gameplay experiences.

In addition to GDC, WinZO is committed to promoting Indian gaming expertise globally, as demonstrated by its efforts such as pioneering the India Pavilion at the Brazil Game Show (BGS) last year. With a focus on empowering developers and promoting Indian leadership in the gaming industry, WinZO aims to establish India as a leading hub for game development.
