WinZO expands globally, Brazil launch planned soon

Online gaming startup, WinZO has made its move for global expansion starting with Brazil. The company has put a banner in Portuguese saying ‘Coming Soon’.

The company started with a focus on Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets in Indian gaming sector and provided platform accessibility to many people in local languages, but has grown a lot since then with focus on esports, skill games and WEB3 gaming.

WinZO also recently concluded their third round of ESOP liquidation which allowed eligible members to partially liquidate their vested ESOPs as a way of recognizing and rewarding their members for their hard work.

Like many other big names currently in the gaming sector, WinZO also saw a lot of growth during pandemic through the casual games they provided on their platform and with this success, the company is now ready to make their move globally.

Another online gaming company, Mobile Premier League (MPL), also recently headed on their global expansion with branches now in Africa, Asia, North America and Europe with Africa being the latest expansion for the gaming platform.

According to sources, WinZO’s entry in Brazil is likely to be through Delaware in the United States. Many of the US and global startups usually choose Delaware as the state government offers lenient tax incentives.

WinZO is also pretty active in supporting the game development sector with the company investing over Rs 400 crore to the Game Developer Fund back in March. The funds will be used for live-ops, security and developing different genre of games.

Operating income for WinZO was Rs 234 crore for the fiscal year that ended in March 2022, while losses were recorded Rs 120.6 crore. According to reports, WinZO has raised $92.7 million in seven funding rounds thus far.
