A massively popular football club from Spain, FC Barcelona has also started to dip its toes into the world of esports. The club currently has only two esports teams as of now  – e-Football PES and League of Legends.

However, early this month, FC Barcelona announced its plans to step into the Valorant esports scene in 2024 as part of their commitment in the field of esports. FCB’s team will enter the 2024 season with a Challenger’s team in the Spanish league.

The team will compete in the LVP Rising event and will be a great match with the Barça Games initiative as per Lembo, a Spanish esports player. Notably, Barça Games is the first video game platform in the world created by a sports club.
