Krafton announces UniPin as official distributor of Road to Valor: Empires in India

Krafton, the developer for the most popular Battle Royale game (BGMI) in India, has entered into a strategic partnership with digital entertainment enabler UniPin. The move allows Krafton to provide players with hassle-free transaction experience for their mobile gaming title Road to Valor: Empires.

UniPin is expected to provide different options for in-game purchases, along with providing rewards and discounts from time to time. The company is currently offering starter packs 1 and 2 on its platform that can be redeemed once by every player.

According to UniPin the aim is to provide gamers with a simple and safe way to make payments for in-game currency. “The partnership aims to enhance the gameplay experience for players of Road to Valor: Empires and bring a seamless and secure payment experience to the gaming community,” the company said.

Speaking on the partnership, Regional Director for UniPin South Asia, Akshay Sethi said, “Considering the market potential for mobile games in South Asia, UniPin’s expertise to facilitate seamless game top-ups and KRAFTON’s experience and leadership in mobile gaming, this partnership would delight gamers with the easiest, safe & most convenient top-up flow across online & offline distribution channels of UniPin”.

The company has also partnered with one of the biggest esports organizations in India, ‘S8UL’ to promote Road to Valor: Empires. The game was already available in some regions, but with further optimizations and addition of languages such as Hindi, the game has now been released in India.

Road to Valor: Empires is the company’s offering of a different genre game for the Indian gaming market. It is real-time, strategy-based and very much different from first-person shooter or third-person shooter games. It focuses more on strategy and predicting and countering the opponent’s next move. While there is skill required to play both shooting and RTS games, the latter require significant amount of mental energy.
